Name: Amelia (Amy) Pond
Gender: Female
Age: 21 years old
History:
Amelia Pond doesn't remember her parents. They died when she was young, so she had to move from glorious Scotland to Leadworth to live with her aunt. It was rubbish.
When she was seven, something magical happened. A madman in a little blue box crash-landed in her backyard. He said he was called the Doctor, and promised to fix all her problems and whisk her away on an impossible journey through time and space. He told her he'd only be five minutes, and he left. That raggedy Doctor. She packed her suitcase and waited outside in the garden for him, but he didn't come back.
But Amelia didn't forget him. Oh no, for years she was obsessed. Everyone said he wasn't real, that she was just being silly, and shouldn't she have grown out of the imaginary friend stage by now? - but she just stared out at the stars and knew that her Doctor was still out there, waiting for her.
Nineteen years of age, and Amy was still living in that same house, staring out at that same backyard, in that same old boring town of Leadworth. She's a kiss-o-gram, with a kind-of boyfriend and a Scottish accent that just won't leave, and (even if she won't admit it) she still believes that her Raggedy Doctor will come and take her away. Then one day she hears that same sound in her backyard and suddenly, out of nowhere, he's back. Her magical, Raggedy Doctor is back.
He bursts into her life and sweeps her up in a whirlwind of adventure and excitement. It's scary, and she knows that in every second her life - the whole world! - was in danger, yet she loves every moment of it. Together, they saved the world. And then, as quickly and as suddenly as he arrived, he's gone.
Things change. Amy grows up. Eventually, her kind-of boyfriend becomes her kind-of fiancée. Then, on the night before her wedding, two years after she saved the world with that mad, impossible Doctor, he comes back. Again.
He promises her the entirety of time and space. She knows she should refuse. She's not seven any more. She's Amy Pond, soon to be Amy Williams. But the Doctor smiles his impossible smile, and with a click of his fingers opens the door to that impossible blue box and, as though in a dream, Amy finds herself stepping inside.
Personality:
Amy Pond is bold. She’s not afraid to yell in a quiet room, or start a conversation with a group of strangers. She’s brave, and daring, and she doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Amy Pond will wear what she likes, and do what she wants, and no matter what anyone says, she will do this with her head held high.
Amy’s not the kind of girl to go down without a fight. Most people would describe her as headstrong, stubborn – maybe even pushy. Either way, Amy doesn’t give up on her beliefs or ideas easily. Once she has something in her mind, it’s stuck there, and it takes an awful lot of persuasion to get it out. She’s independent too – she’s got a mind of her own and she exercises it often. No one tells Amy Pond what to do.
Amy’s restless. In Leadworth, she never felt at home. Life was boring. Every day the exact same thing. Amy craves excitement, and danger, and constant change. Part of the reason she ran away with the Doctor was the life he promised her. Excitement, action, a different world every single day. Never a dull moment. And completely different from Leadworth.
Abilities: Running in heels and a knack for causing trouble.
