Vengeance of the Daleks

[The Fourth Doctor]

Inside the great dome of Gallifrey, a leader quieted each and every one of the Timelords in the great hall where the first war council was being held.
"We will have order." Rassilon's voice boomed.

The arguing continued.
"Order!" he lifted his gloved right hand, which glowed a cerulean teal. The light flickered, leaving everyone in complete darkness, the only light from Rassilon's hand. The lights returned.
"We must not fight amongst ourselves, for the greater enemy is approaching. The Daleks have returned from their previous defeat, and stronger than ever."

A fleet of Dalek warships was approaching Gallifrey from Skaro, and the Timelords were left hopelessly outnumbered. Now was the time to recount debts, and call upon friends from other worlds.
"We have formed a brief truce with the Raxicoricofallapatorians, the Judoon, and the Atraxi. It is tense, but they will help us. All in favor of surrender-"

None of course.

"All in favor of going to war-"

Trillions of hands flew up, every eligible Gallifreyan ready to fight for their planet.

"Alright then. Every Tardis has been equipped for combat. Laser tools will be given to foot-soldiers. For Gallifrey!" Rassilon marched out of the war meeting, into his personal quarters.

He monitored the progress of the militia and military, the angsty ones already beginning flight to meet the Daleks. They were outnumbered ten to one, but help was on its way.

Rassilon checked his glove, and muttered to himself.
"For Gallifrey."

OOC: Hey guys! First thread and everything, so have fun. You can choose to be a Silurian, Raxicoricofallpatorian (most commonly known to fans because of the Slitheen family, opponents of the Ninth Doctor,) a Judoon, a Timelord, or, of course, a Dalek.

[The Master]

Deep beneath the Citadel of the Time Lords, far underground, lay the hidden and to many only fabled Eye of Harmony. Power source to the time travelling resources and technology of all of Gallifrey, connected through the Vortex to every TARDIS.

Three elder Time Lords gathered around the black obelisk that contained the Eye. All three wore hooded cloaks that concealed their faces, they were ashamed to be here.

"We have declared war." the leader of the three said, with a deep sigh, sombre and evidently displeased. "So it has come to this."

"We knew it would." the second, to his right, answered. "We must obey our orders."

"There has to be another way." the third all but pleaded. "We all know how this could backfire. It could do us so much more harm than good."

"'It'-" the first said with an almost amused sneer at that word, "-will do as it is told. Our Lord has seen to that."

He stepped forward, and, with much dramatic flair and ceremony, he activated the Eye.

The screaming was terrible.

((OOC: I think you can guess where I'm going with this... also, I'd like to imagine they're following Rassilon's orders, but they could be working for someone else if you prefer.))

Rassilon's feet pounded on the stone floor, making his way to a shuttle. He too would join combat, simply from a distance. He sat himself comfortably in the seat in the front, just behind the pilot and co-pilot.

Hopefully his agents at the Eye of Harmony had accomplished their mission. But just to make sure...
"Come in, this is Lord Rassilon..."

[The Master]

"Yes, My Lord." it was the second of the three who answered him. The third didn't like the situation at all, and the first was busy, doing his job.

It had worked, of course. They had never doubted that this stage of the plan would go smoothly. What came next was likely to be the worst part.

"Everything is going according to plan." the second reported calmly, as he watched the scene before him. He didn't cut the communications, not yet.

From out of the Eye of Harmony, a man had appeared. His body had been burning with the energy of the Vortex, from the nightmare of being dragged through the Eye itself, unshielded. These three Elders didn't want to even contemplate what that must feel like.

And then the Regeneration. The body that had been tearing itself apart disintegrated, and was reborn anew. The new man collapsed to his hands and knees before the first of the three... gasping for air like a drowned man.

The first sneered, "Welcome back to the land of the living... Master."

Rassilon's mouth curled into a slight smirk.
"Good. Now, phase three..." his voice trailed off.

The Master wasn't exactly Rassilon's best ally...a bit of his enemy, really. For the plan to work...
"Begin mental implant." he commanded.

He could only hope it worked.
