War is for the weak

[Oracle]

Six months, Six bloody months she’d been stuck on this planet after her ship had caught a stray rocket from the warring parties below and to make matters worse when the ship crashed her vortex manipulator got hit with some random emp surge from inside the ship. So until she could get it fixed she was stuck and had gotten recruited into the war. She had been pinned down behind some rubbish. Beams from the other sides weapons flew past “agghhh I hate this ruddy planet!” she aimed over the rubbish and fries off a series of shots.

She threw the gun down “right, enough of this” standing up she generated a ball of electricity and threw it causing several of the soldiers to fly into the air. Running over to one of the soldiers and grabbed him up so he was standing, dusting off his shoulders she said in her most treating voice but not in a way to threaten the man “You are going to tell your superiors that this war is over and if they don’t stop the fighting I’ll come after them next” she looked at him and without saying a word he heard in his head “now run.” the soldier ran off screaming slightly.

Arcadia.

It was a strange feeling to be back on this planet, especially after....
The General walked on.

A war was raging at the moment, but noone noticed him.
Noone had any need to.
The perception filter he was wearing on his ring finger glimmered in the sunlight.
It was disguised as a ring, green, with gold trim, perfectly fitted to his finger, forged in the fires of a Gallifreyan furnace, a furnace lost long ago....

A man ran past him, it was one of the invaders, his baggy blue camoflauge uniform, to hide in the long grass bobbing up and down while he ran.

Arcadia had turned out pretty well eh?

Another glimmer drew his attention west, the glimmer of a woman's hair.
She seemed to be doing alright for herself, the mass of blue uniforms could show that, but there was something different about her, did she....no green eyes, she's no Arcadian.

He paused for a minute, and then walked towards her, he bumped into her deliberately, and said,
"Sorry."

She must have been to out of it not to notice the guy since he got close enough to her to make physical contact. That bothered her and before she knew it she had whipped out her spare firearm out of the holster, an old colt 45 revolver she had picked up before she left earth a few years back. Stepping back a little bit she looked the man over before lowering her gun “Sorry, a little on edge”

He looked like a normal Arcadian but something didn’t seem right. She shrugged it off it didn’t matter as soon as she got the manipulator fixed she’d be gone like Donkey Kong, pulling it out of her back pocket after re-holstering her weapon she went over and cleared off a spot on the ground, figuring while the firing had died down it was a good time as any to work “you lost Arcadian?” she looked over at him as she started to do some repair work on the manipulator. "cause this is a little far away from any command center" she wasn't going to lie she'd been out here in the boonies by herself for a month so it was nice to have someone to talk to that wasn't also shooting at her, even it was probably going to be short.

The General stood back at the sign of the gun, he liked this regeneration, but stepped forward again when the girl explain.

"That a vortex manipulator?" He said.

The Arcadians had banned Vortex Manipulators a good 100 years ago, she was game being out in public with it, still, no one would really notice in the conflic

He was suddenly interrupted by a blue soldier running at him, he immediately pulled out his plasma ray, custom fitted to his hand, at pointed it at the guard's head.

The guard just stared at him for a while, then started crying, and ran off screaming.
They had banned them too.
But no one would notice him.
No one would care.

Softly “Yes it is.” without looking up from her manipulator she watched him out of the corner of her eyes, as the guard came running at him. “Not to smart… she watched as the guard ran screaming off in the opposite direction after he pulled out his plasma ray “or brave either.” slowly taking a screw out of the manipulator only to have a spring come flying out “drat”. Using her speed she got up and zipped over, catching it before it hit the ground out of reach. Walking back over to the spot she was at “Nice ray you’ve got there mate.” she sat back down in the spot slowly placing the spring back in. It bleeped “YES!” it admitted some smoke “No…Noo!” more smoke “crap”. Wrapping it up and sticking it in her pocket, she was starting to be resigned to the fact that she was going to be on the planet for a little while longer, shrugging and flopping back onto her back from her Indian style sitting position “Oh well.”
